The Padmaavat actress said that she is thrilled with this honour. Deepika said to a leading daily, "Honestly, I have never really believed in self-acknowledgement. Instead, I have always looked ahead (in life). But I must admit that today, I do feel a small sense of achievement. It is humbling to be acknowledged for the work that you do, and so, it’s my absolute honour to be part of this prestigious list alongside such incredible achievers.”

In the Time magazine, international star Vin Diesel, Deepika's co-star in her Hollywood debut "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" has penned words of appreciation for her. "Anyone could talk about how beautiful she is, and anyone could tell you about her unmatched comedic timing. But she isn't just a star. She's an actor's actor, dedicated to the craft," Diesel wrote.

On the home front, Deepika was last seen in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie Padmaavat, which also featured Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. The movie was a hit at the box office.

All eyes are now fixed on Ms Padukone to see what project she will take up next. On the personal front, buzz is that Dippy may tie the knot with long time beau Ranveer Singh.
