Varun Dhawan has no time to rest on his laurels, has back-to-back movies in the pipeline

Varun Dhawan has come a long way from his Student of the Year debut act. With the phenomenal response that his latest movie October is getting he is touted as the superstar of the current generation. Varun is raking in all the appreciating and accolades that are coming his way for his nuanced portrayal of Dan in Shoojit Sircar’s October opposite Banita Sandhu.

 

However, Dhawan has no time to take relax and bask in the glory of his well-deserved success. The Badlapur actor has already started shooting for his next film Kalank in Mumbai. Kalank will see him share screen space with Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt. The movie is made under the banner of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios. It is directed by Abhishek Varman. Varun will also be wrapping up his Yash Raj Films Productions movie Sui Dhaaga – Made in India by November end opposite Anushka Sharma.

After Sui Dhaaga – Made in India, Dhawan will start shooting for his dance film opposite Katrina Kaif directed by Remo D’Souza for which it is reported that he was paid a whopping Rs 32 crore. The schedule for this movie is from December 2018 to March 2019. He will be busy promoting his film Kalank next year and will also team up with Remo D’Souza for another movie. Post that he has Rannbhoomi directed by Shashank Khaitan in the pipeline which will start only in December 2019.

If you’re thinking that Dhawan will be sitting idle from June to December next year, then you are highly mistaken as he has blocked those dates for his father David Dhawan’s directorial venture. The last film the father-son duo released was Judwaa 2 which was a blockbuster hit. Now, all eyes are on their next venture as no news has been forthcoming from their end.
