2018 is going to be a very special year as many new and fresh pairings will be seen on the silver screen. Right from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra to Sara Ali Khan and Ranveer Singh in Simmba, audience will get to savour the taste of new jodis who will be looking to making a mark at the box office. Now the latest buzz is that Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to star opposite Sidharth Malhotra in Dharma Productions' yet untitled film. The film is reported to have an ensemble cast which is being finalized by Karan Johar and will be directed by Raj Mehta, assistant director to Shashank Khaitan in Dhadak.
Kareena right now is all set to start promoting her film Veere Di Wedding with Sonam Kapoor that releases on June 1, 2018, and is touted as her comeback film after giving birth to son Taimur. Sidharth could not create much magic on the box office last year as his films did not fare well but this year things are looking up for him. Other than the movie with Kareena he also has Captain Vikram Batra’s biopic in which he plays a double role as the Captain had a twin brother too.

The Kareena-Sidharth film is also significant as assistant director Raj Mehta will also make his directorial debut. The last film Kareena and Karan did was way back in 2012, and it was titled Ek Main Hu Aur Ek Tu. This is not the first time that Kareena is paired with a younger hero; she had previously acted with Imran Khan and Arjun Kapoor as well. With this new pairing the audience will definitely be intrigued as both the actors give nuanced performances. Sidharth started his career with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year which went on to become a hit and he must be hoping to create the similar magic at the box office.
