The annual film festival which celebrates films and previews new movies and documentaries from all around the world is held at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. With celebrities coming in all wakes of life and walking the red carpet, this sure will be a prestigious moment for the actress.
The film festival which can only be attended by invites, Kangana will walk the red carpet as a brand ambassador where she will also be their representative for the Indian cinema.
Kangana is currently filming for her upcoming period drama Manikarnika which will hit the theatres along with Akshay Kumar's Gold on the Independence Day i.e. August 15, 2018. In the film, Kangana will essay the role of Rani Laxmibai a.k.a. Jhansi ki Rani. The film will also mark the debut film of TV actress Ankita Lokhande.
She will also be seen in Prakash Kovelamudi's Mental Hai Kya alongside her Queen co-star Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. It will be produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, and Shaailesh R Singh. The film in the actress’ words is not a crazy comedy. With two National Award winning actors sharing the same screen, the anticipation level is at its peak.
The Bollywood Queen will also make her directorial debut through drama Teju where she will essay the role of an 80 yr old woman. Word around town also is that the actress will share the screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in R Balki's next. The actress will also feature in Bollywood's first Indo-French production titled Divine Lovers alongside Irrfan Khan.
