Take it from the makers of Veere Di Wedding on how to tease the audience.
The trailer cleverly mocks the notion of a girl who is about to get married. Kareena's character is about to get married and what ensues is total madness and utter fun. A frustrated Sonam is seen saying "Jitna bhi padhlo, graduation, post-graduation, jab tak gale mai manglasutra nai padta na, tab tak life complete nai hoti," which aptly sums up the theme of the film.
The story revolves around four women of which one is divorced, one is about to get married, one almost got married and the other eloped. The film also addresses taboo around sex and celebrates women's sexuality.
The dialogues are badass and bold and truly is not a chick flick. The women take you to on a journey of four different women from different walks of life who break the stereotype. Their tagline '#imnotaCHICKflick' has been creating waves across social media. Therefore, it's no surprise when the viewers of the trailer find the characters relatable on several levels.
The much awaited and highly anticipated film had been kept under wraps from the very start. After dropping posters from this comic flick the only thing we gathered was that '#imnotaCHICKflick'. And staying very true to that, the trailer proves why this film could potentially be another 2018 blockbuster.
Helmed by Shashank Ghosh and written by Mehul Suri and Nidhi Mehra, the film stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania and Sumeet Vyas in its lead roles. Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor & Nikhil Dwivedi, the film will hit the theatres on June 1. Make sure to mark your calendars for this one!
