Priyanka Chopra: Bharat is going to be an out and out Bollywood entertainer

Priyanka Chopra might be a big global icon today but she started off her career in Bollywood which gave her the platform to conquer the world. We might love watching her kick people’s ass on Quantico but somewhere down the line we miss seeing her in our Hindi movies. However, fans of Priyanka have a reason to rejoice now as the actor will be seen on the silver screen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat opposite none other than Salman Khan, which will be an out and out Bollywood entertainer.

Recently, in an interview to a leading global tabloid when she was asked about starring in Bharat she said, “I’ve finished up two films: A Kid Like Jake, which comes out in June. And Isn’t it Romantic?, which comes out Valentine’s Day 2019. I play a spoiled rich woman who is a yoga guru, which is not a thing. [Bharat] is the Indian movie I signed this year. It’s the quintessential Bollywood movie, which I haven’t done in many years. A lot of them were dramatic and thematic. This one’s going to be out and out entertainment. I’m excited! I haven’t been back to do a movie in two or three years now."

Earlier, when the announcements about the casting for Bharat were made Priyanka who had shared a cool relationship with Salman previously had said, “I’m looking forward to working with Salman and Ali after a considerable time. I’ve learnt a lot from them during our previous collaborations and I am excited to see what this one has to offer. I’m also looking forward to working with Atul, Alvira and the entire team. To all my well-wishers who have been patient and supportive, thank you for your constant support and I’ll see you at the movies." Bharat is scheduled to release on Eid in 2019.
