Alia Bhatt to work with Bareilly Ki Barfi director Ashwiny Tiwari? Here's what she has to say

Alia Bhatt, since the time she made her debut in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year, has not looked back. She has improved with each and every film of hers and taken the audience spiralling to a whole gamut of emotions with every character that she has played on screen till now. Whether it was in Highway or Udta Punjab or in Badrinath Ki Dulhania, she has managed to play every role with aplomb and finesse. Now, the pretty actress is gearing up for her thriller, Raazi in which she plays the role of a spy.

Raazi is based on the true events of the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war and Alia plays the role of a young girl who is married in Pakistan to help Indian government find information about the impending war. The film is directed by Meghna Gulzar and Vicky Kaushal plays the lead along with Alia.  Alia has a number of interesting projects lined up which include Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Varman’s Kalank in which she pairs up once again with Varun Dhawan.

According to reports circulating in the media, Alia is also in talks with Bareilly Ki Barfi director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari for her next. A source in the know said, “Alia, after she wraps up Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra and Abhishek Varman’s Kalank, she is likely to star in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s next which will be a musical."

Recently, in an interview given to a leading daily, Alia refrained from making any comments but dropped a few hints. “Ashwiny is one director I really want to work with. I have met her for something that is exciting but I don’t want to talk about it until its put together. This is one combination I’m looking forward to," shared the actress.
