A lot changed in the year 1998 when director Mansoor Khan brought out a film with new faces and a story that wasn't exactly what one would expect to be. Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak changed the face of romance, musicals and drama genre of the Indian Cinema, particularly Bollywood.
Written and directed by Mansoor Khan and produced by Nasir Khan, QSQT starred Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla. Having a fresh face wasn't considered the best idea, but they went ahead with Aamir anyway. The film went on to become a major commercial success, instantly giving birth to two new stars. All of this is already known to us, here are some unknown facts about the film.

The Preparation
Aamir, a new-comer, helped Juhi with her screen test for Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak which happened in Nasir's backyard. Aamir also happens to be Nasir's cousin brother.
The Dual-Climax
There were two different endings shot for Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak - one happy and the other sad. However, Mansoor was more convinced with the sad ending where both Juhi and Aamir die. Mansoor had even stated that if the movie was not produced with the sad ending, his name should be removed as a director.
The Introduction Strategy
To launch Aamir as an actor, a flashy poster was made with the tagline, 'Ask the girls next door?'. The line was suggested by Mansoor to create intrigue about the upcoming actor.
The Game of Choice
Before being finalized for Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Juhi was selected to play the role of Draupadi in Mahabharat. However, when asked to choose between the two by Nasir, she selected Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak on B.R. Chopra's suggestion.
The Kiss
Juhi initially declined to kiss Aamir but eventually agreed as it was an integral part of the movie.
The New-Face Issue
Although several distributors liked the movie, there were very few buyers. Ultimately, Nasir was forced to distribute the movie himself.
The Trust & Support
While people were apprehensive of the movie due to the new faces, Shammi Kapoor and R.D. Burman were the only two people who believed that the movie would eventually become a trend-setter.
The Song
The music for Aye Mere Humsafar was composed in a span of 15 minutes. For all the songs of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, the music was composed first by Anand Milind and then the lyrics were written by Majrooh Sultanpuri to suit the tune.
