John Abraham’s spy thriller Romeo Akbar Walter is finally about to start shooting. The film that initially had Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead had hit a rough patch recently, but again went on the floors when John stepped in. Jackie Shroff was also roped in to play an integral and pivotal role in the film as the RAW chief. Now, director Robbie Grewal is busy hunting locations for the spy-thriller in Kashmir.
After traveling to Gujarat for recce for the film, Grewal is now in Kashmir hunting locations for the film along with a team of 12 people. Producer Bunty Walia’s production head Chetan Handoo is also with Grewal hunting for locations. They arrived in Srinagar on Saturday and spent a few hours exploring the state capital and interacting with locals.
As reported by a leading daily the crew dropped by two locations and were in Gulmarg to finalize another one. They were also planning to go to the top of the mountain. The spy-thriller will be shot in Kashmir, Gujarat and Nepal. After the Kashmir leg of the recce, the team will head to Nepal to scout locations for the films. The crew is expected to stay in the valley till May 1, 2018.
The film has been planned on a 60-day nonstop shooting schedule from June 2018 and the filmmakers are looking to wrap the film by July end so that it is ready to hit theatres by the end of the year. Romeo Akbar Walter is based on true events and will be shot across Gujarat, Kashmir, Delhi and Nepal.

John will be sporting different looks in the film and hence, National award-winning makeup artist Vikram Gaikwad has been roped in to create his looks. The actor will also be seen in a leaner physique instead of the bulked one he usually sports.
