Priyanka Chopra has been making news with her two-day trip to India. Priyanka, the brand ambassador for 'Assam Tourism' was here on an extended trip to shoot ad films for the Assam Tourism campaign titled 'Awesome Assam'. The actress has been using the hashtag consistently on her social media handles.

In Assam, she was seen greeting and meeting the locals with all her warmth. PeeCee even performed an impromptu Bihu dance along with the students of a local school. She donned a white silk saree with golden print. She topped off her simple yet elegant style with curly hair and a good old-fashioned flower on the side.

For the ad film, Priyanka made her way to an otherwise restricted area, the Kaziranga National Park. According to leading tabloid, the unit is essentially shooting Priyanka's experiences as she visits various places in the state. The travel started in Jorhat, Assam. She visited a tea plantation and a few resorts and other places.

Earlier, Priyanka landed herself in a controversy when her first Assam Tourism campaign was released. The oppositions in the state criticised the ad and the actress for 'wearing minimal clothing'. They even demanded that she be removed as the brand ambassador. Though the state tourism head was in favour of the actress and hence, her journey continues.

Apart from a two-day trip to India, Priyanka has a super packed schedule. The third season of her American television show Quantico has premiered recently. After the blockbuster Baywatch, her next American film A kid like Jake is slated to release in June this year. The busy global star has already finished shooting for her next American flick titled Isn't it romantic? which is slated to hit the theatres on Valentine's Day in 2019.

On her previous three day trip to India, she finalized on her Bollywood projects. She will be soon starting the shoot for Bharat alongside Salman Khan. Margarita with a Straw fame director Shonali Bose has also roped in PeeCee and Abhishek Bachchan for her next film.
