What brother Harshvardhan will gift Sonam and Anand: “A hug.. I’m broke!”

By her own admission, Sonam and sister Rhea are “obsessed” with their brother, Harshvardhan. On his birthday a couple of years ago, Sonam had shared a heart-warming wish for her brother, emphasising that she didn’t know anyone who was as hardworking and determined as him. “More than your talent and all your wonderful gifts, your strength of character and work ethic is what I'm proud off!” she had gushed.

These siblings are close and now as Sonam prepares to step into matrimony with beau Anand Ahuja, Harshvardhan sounds a tad sentimental. “I am really happy she is getting married. Anand is a great guy,” he said, at a promo event of his film, Bhavesh Joshi.
He struck an even sweeter note when asked what he would be gifting his sister on the occasion of her wedding. His answer was all heart as he responded, “A hug. I am broke... The movies I do they don't pay well. I will give her lots of love.”

The brother of the bride also shared that he would be taking a break from the promotions of his to participate in his sister's wedding. "The wedding is on 7th and 8th. After that, I will get into film promotions... So there is enough time for both,” he pointed out.
Harshvardhan is known to be close to his sister’s beau and they have been snapped partying together on different occasions.

The families of the couple had recently released an official statement announcing the wedding date. However, prior to that the Kapoors had remained tight-lipped when it came to confirming rumours of the impending wedding. When asked about Sonam’s equation with Anand previously, dad Anil Kapoor had averred, “It is not my place to speak about Anand, that is entirely Sonam’s prerogative and I have not known her to speak about her personal life. All I can say is that Anand and I are both private people and the bond we share is too personal for me to discuss with the media.”
