Student of the Year 2 has been grabbing attention since a while now. Following in the footsteps of its successful predecessor, it brings Tiger Shroff together with gorgeous newbies Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria.

However, fans of SOTY are bound to miss its original cast, who have gone on to carve their own success paths in the industry. Sure, there are umpteen opportunities to watch Varun, Alia and Sidharth in other films but the magic that they created together in their debut film was a tad too special to forget…

Now it turns out that we won’t have to forget them after all. Apparently Sidharth and Varun have been confirmed to make a comeback in a cameo in SOTY 2. While no details have been shared yet about their roles, they are sure to make a splash even in their brief appearances. What’s more, the third musketeer, Alia might also be on board. Remember how she had teased, “Never say never,” when asked about her presence in the film? Besides would she ever say no to her mentor, filmmaker Karan Johar??

The Punit Malhotra directorial is currently being filmed in Dehradun. The story reportedly revolves around Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday’s characters battling it out to win Tiger Shroff’s heart in the film. Tiger had recently announced the conclusion of the first ‘semester’ of the film, as he posted an image of the flag of their fictitious school, St. Teresa’s. Pictures have also been emerging of the leading girls, Ananya and Tara chilling together, and letting us know that any rivalry between them is only limited to their onscreen roles!

Expectations from the sequel are sky-high, considering SOTY’s huge success at the box office. And with popular dudes Varun and Sidharth adding weight to the sequel, things are only looking better.
