Last month Anil Kapoor teased the fans before heading to unveil his wax statue at Madame Tussauds joining the long list of celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, etc. The wax figure mirrors the iconic moment from the Academy Award-winning Hollywood film Slumdog Millionaire which earned Anil international acclaim.
But with a big fat wedding right around the corner, it's not just Anil's house that is being all decked up for the wedding. Looks like Anil's wax statue too is getting into the wedding spirit. The wax figure has been restyled with Anil now donning a traditional turban wedding attire. Staying true to a big fat Punjabi wedding, even the wax figure seems ready to partayy any moment.
With Papa Anil leaving no stones unturned to make this the biggest wedding of the year, he will proudly take the lead and dance to the song Gallan Goodiyan from his 2015 hit film Dil Dhadakne Do by Zoya Akhtar.
Earlier in an interview in 2013, Sonam had revealed that her father actually did not believe in the concept of marriage at all. She said, "My father doesn't believe in marriage, he thinks that it's a very old-fashioned concept. The men in my family are completely against marriage. So whoever has to marry me has to go through like six brothers and a father."
Sonam and Anand have never publicly admitted to their relationship until now. Sonam Kapoor, 32, is currently awaiting the release of her much-anticipated film Veere Di Wedding. Soon after the wedding, she will walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14 and May 15.
On the other hand, Anil Kapoor will be seen in Race 3 alongside Salman Khan and in Fanne Khan opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The versatile actor will be part of Total Dhamaal and will also share the silver screen with daughter Sonam in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga.
Meanwhile, lets reminiscence Sonam's and Anand's journey till now:
