What made Sonam Kapoor fall for Anand Ahuja? Her ideal man checklist here

Sonam Kapoor is a lady with a fine taste in fashion, films and even men. The 32-year-old actress is a self-confessed ‘old world romantic’ at heart, and if her ahead-of-time statements – verbal or through couture – have made you feel otherwise, for starters, she is a woman of ideals. Be it her red carpet appearances or movie choices, Sonam has done everything but nothing conventional. Her love story was no exception.

Sonam, who has been in a relationship with beau Anand Ahuja for years, has kept her romance with the businessman under tight wraps all this while. While we know the couple is all set to tie the knot in a couple of days, how exactly did the two begin dating? Moreover, what made Sonam fall for Anand?

In an interview with a leading magazine in 2015, Sonam had shared a checklist of her dream guy. The gorgeous starlet, who commands attention from every corner of the room she enters, is not the one who can be lured by ‘bank balance’ and ‘solitaires.’

“I am very idealistic, and I expect the person to be as idealistic. He should be someone who is ambitious for himself and someone who wants to do something in his life. And of course, he should love me immensely and should be able to keep me happy,” Sonam had said.

Well, Anand, has done more than just ‘something’ we are sure! He owns multi-brand sneaker company called Veg Non Veg. Anand also owns an apparel brand called Bhane in partnership with Shahi Exports (owned by his father Harish Ahuja). Plus, we have all seen how he makes ‘everyday phenomenal’ for Sonam.

“What appeals to me first and foremost is the intelligence. And then, the potential to do something in life,” Sonam had told the magazine.

Not grand gestures but little things win her heart. “Someone knowing little things about me can floor me completely. I am not into some grand gestures, solitaires, and all. But small things matters to me the most. I don’t believe in Valentine’s Day and all, nor do I want any special gifts on those days, but simply knowing the small things that can make me happy ‒ like my favourite colour, food, music etc is enough,” the PadMan star had said in the interview.

Going by the number of vacations, and outings, we are sure Anand has it all figured about Sonam’s choices, besides remembering them all. He also shares updates about Sonam’s upcoming projects and photoshoots – super cool, right? And unlike Sonam herself, the man doesn’t shy away from expressing his love on social media from time to time.

Clearly, Anand has checked all the boxes and thus, became Sonam’s Mr Right.
