Sonam Kapoor is all set to enter a new phase of her life, and the actress wants to rid herself of every negativity. Letting bygones be bygones, Sonam took a step ahead to end the cold war between her and 'Ash Aunty'. Sonam, who has been in a steady relationship with beau Anand Ahuja, is all set to tie the knot on May 8, 2018. Amongst the creme de la creme of the industry present at the do would the famous Bachchans, and since the entire fam-jam would mark their attendance, a leading entertainment portal reports that the bride-to-be called up Aishwarya to personally invite her for the do.
As reported by the portal, Sonam's mother Sunita Kapoor met Aishwarya at the wedding reception of Saudamini Mattu, the niece of designer Sandeep Khosla. The two ladies exchanged warm greetings and Mrs. Kapoor made it a point to personally invite Aishwarya for her daughter's wedding. A couple of days on, Sonam too phoned Aishwarya and the conversation ended with the latter accepting the invitation.
Sonam and Aishwarya's catfight dates back to 2009 when Sonam was appointed as the face of the same cosmetic giant Aishwarya has been representing. While Sonam had spoken about her red carpet appearance at Cannes Film Festival, the statement had upset Aishwarya and Sonam eventually missed out on her debut, only to fly to French Rivera in 2011. Sonam later had also addressed Aishwarya as 'aunty' in an interview. But nothing's better than a wedding that brings together family, friends, and everyone near and dear. And what better excuse than this to have a fresh start?
Sonam and Anand's wedding festivities have officially kickstarted at Anil Kapoor's Juhu residence. The lovebirds will be united in matrimony in a traditional Sikh wedding, called the Anand Karaj on May 8, 2018. The venue of the wedding is the heritage bungalow Rockdale, which is the residence of Sonam’s maternal aunt and famed interior designer, Kavita Singh. The same evening will be the reception with the newlyweds partying with family and friends at The Leela. Guests have been requested not to bring gifts, as their gracious presence is all that is desired. The Kapoors and Ahujas are clearly keeping it very relaxed and very special.
