Isha Ambani engaged to Ajay Piramal's son Anand; family visits Siddhivinayak Temple

Another wedding in the Ambani household! In a fresh development on Sunday afternoon business tycoon and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's daughter Isha got engaged to Anand Piramal, son of corporate magnates Ajay Piramal and Swati Piramal. Isha will walk down the aisle in December this year, family sources said on Sunday, reports a leading news agency.

Reportedly, Anand and Isha have been friends since a long-time. The Piramal scion proposed to Isha at a temple in Mahabaleshwar, and the newly engaged couple followed it up with a celebration over lunch in the company of their parents and siblings.

The news of Isha's engagement comes a month after her twin and elder brother Akash Ambani proposed and exchanged rings with girlfriend Shloka Mehta, the youngest daughter of diamantaire Russell Mehta.

On Sunday evening, Isha and Anand along with their families visited the Siddhivinayak Temple and sought blessings of Lord Ganesha.

Isha was dressed in a pink suit with ethnic print while Anand sported formals.

Isha's mother and owner of Mumbai Indians IPL franchise Nita Ambani visited the temple wearing the team's jersey and denims.

Anand has founded Piramal Reality - one of India's esteemed real estate firms. He is also the founder of Piramal Swasthya, a rural healthcare initiative that treats 40,000 patients a day.

Isha, on the other hand, is Psychology and South Asian studies graduate from Yale University. She worked as a business analyst with the management consulting firm, McKinsey & Company. Later in 2014, she was inducted into the boards of directors of Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail. In December 2015, Isha led the employee launch of Jio's 4G services along with her brother.

In April 2016, Isha launched AJIO, an online fashion retailer, at the 2016 edition of Lakme Fashion Week. She oversees the branding and management segments of AJIO, which is a subsidiary of Reliance Retail.
