Drum rolls, please! Sonam Kapoor's private mehendi ceremony heldat Anil Kapoor's Juhu residence has set the tone right and loud for Sonam's D-day.  Sunday evening saw close friends and family members throng the Kapoor mansion, adorned by lights and soaked in the festive fervour. As the evening passed by, internet was buzzing with photos and videos from the much-awaited do. And since Sonam's is the first wedding in the Kapoor Khaadaan, celebrations were at an all time high.

Sonam and her groom-to-be, Delhi-based businessman Anand Ahuja, looked colour co-ordinated in pastels. While Bollywood's fashionista Sonam looked radiant in a peach and grey ethnic outfit with statement jewellery as she sat down to get intricate henna designs done on her hands, Anand looked suave in a salmon sherwani.

From jamming to songs such as ‘Lat Lag Gayi‘, 'Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai', 'Bom Diggy Diggy' and ‘Hawa Hawa‘, everyone grooved along with Sonam and Anand on the dance floor. While the two-day long extravaganza has just begun, the event for the day has officially concluded. But the bride-to-be cannot stop blushing and can't contain her excitement, turning her cheeks pink!

In a picture shared by bestie Pernia Qureshi, Sonam has changed into a christmas-print nightwear post the mehendi ceremony. With heena clad palms and feet, the actress is smiling as her friend clicks a photo of her. And we couldn't agree with Pernia when she captioned the snap on Instagram saying 'cuteness overload.'

Sonam and Anand will get married on Tuesday in a traditional Sikh ceremony. However, a formal ‘mehendi’ and ‘sangeet’ function will take place on Monday evening. The Kapoors shall host their guests to an ‘evening of dance and music’ to celebrate Sonam and Anand on the evening of May 8, 2018.
