Did you know what Sonam Kapoor wore under the heavily embellished outfit? Check out here

Sonam Kapoor's wedding revelry commenced with a private mehendi ceremony on Sunday evening. The actress stepped out of the pages of a fairytale, decked in a pastel-hued outfit by Anuradha Vakil in shades of lilac, peach and white with heavy gotta patti work. She completed her look with polki chaandbalis, and nude makeup. While her resplendent ensemble definitely became the talk of the hour, she decided to flaunt her footwear towards the later part of the evening.

Considering Sonam had mehendi artists apply henna on her palms, back of the hands and feet, there was no way she could wear a footwear or any accessory for that matter. But she is the best in the fashion business you see, always works a way out! And thus, after she was done with the mehendi function, Sonam took to the dance floor wearing Nike slippers, like the coolest bride-to-be ever!!

Among the first ones to arrive at the venue were cousins Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor, who were dressed in ethnic wear. Jhanvi and Khushi chose Manish Malhotra ensembles for the pre-wedding ceremony. Also in attendance were cousins Arjun Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor and Mohit Marwah.

Sonam's sibling Rhea Kapoor was dressed in a subtle cream ensemble, brother Harshvardhan was in a white kurta-pyjama teamed with a grey Nehru jacket, and father Anil chose an all-white ethnic outfit.

From jamming to songs such as ‘Lat Lag Gayi‘, ‘Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai’, ‘Bom Diggy Diggy’ and ‘Hawa Hawa‘, everyone grooved along with Sonam and Anand on the dance floor. While the two-day long extravaganza has just begun, the event for the day has officially concluded.

Sonam and Anand will get married on Tuesday in a traditional Sikh ceremony. However, a formal ‘mehendi’ and ‘sangeet’ function will take place on Monday evening. The Kapoors shall host their guests to an ‘evening of dance and music’ to celebrate Sonam and Anand on the evening of May 8, 2018.
