Among all the superheroes, Deadpool is the quirkiest one. He is known for delivering quirky one-liners and an incessant barrage of words even when he is thrashing a criminal. Superheroes generally keep a serious and grim demeanour. Other than Spider-Man, not many ventured out to give anecdotes and tidbits. But that changed entirely when Deadpool came on the horizon. The first film of the franchise was a runaway hit and now the producers are hoping the second one, Deadpool 2 will be a bigger success. The Hindi version of the film will have another quirky actor giving his voice to Deadpool and that is none other than Ranveer Singh.

The second installment in the franchise will hit the theatres in India on May 18, 2018, and Fox Star Studios has roped in Ranveer to dub for the title character in the Hindi version of the film. Needless to say that Ranveer’s characteristics fit in nicely with Deadpool’s histrionics. The studio wanted a star that would have similar traits as the superhero and guess what; our Khilji really does fit into the character’s shoes. Ranveer has lent his voice to the film Deadpool 2 which stars Ryan Reynolds as the title character.
The film has received an A-certificate, which actually makes it better for the makers as they wanted to keep the sarcastic tone of the English film intact even in the Hindi version. Deadpool’s character uses a lot of cuss words and swears to bring out his humour quotient and hence the Hindi version will also have the same style of storytelling without trimming the fringes. Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios said about choosing Ranveer, “Like Deadpool, Ranveer, too, is known for his smart, witty and irreverent humour. He’s a daring and powerhouse actor and we absolutely relished having him on board for our biggest superhero film.”
Previously it was suggested that Ranveer would not be able to lend his voice as he was busy with the shoot of Zoya Akhtar directorial Gully Boy but then the studio was hell-bent on signing him so they tweaked the dubbing schedule and finally roped in Ranveer for Deadpool 2. We must say, the studio has actually zeroed in on the right actor because Ranveer will definitely bring his own unique quirkiness to Deadpool and the character’s traits will not be lost in the Hindi. Earlier, Varun Dhawan lent his voice in and as Captain America. Priyanka Chopra, too, dubbed as Kaa in The Jungle book and Tiger Shroff as Spidey in Tom Holland's Spiderman: Homecoming.
