May 4, 2018, will be the most special day for Shreyas Talpade and wife Deepti as on this day they became proud parents to a baby girl through surrogacy after 14 years of marriage. The couple had gone for a holiday to Hong Kong since the due date was still some days ago but had to cut their trip short and return home as the surrogate mother went into labour early. Shreyas and Deepti’s news comes a day after Kashmera Shah and Krushna Abhishek decided to talk about their twin boys born through surrogacy.

Shreyas with his wife was supposed to go on a vacation before the arrival of the baby as the date given to them was May 10 and 12, but they were still in mid-air when their daughter was born and they had to change their plans and come straight back. Shreyas told a leading daily, “Seems our little girl has a stubborn streak and didn’t want us to go to Hong Kong without her.” The couple has not decided any names yet although “Friends have been confusing us with multiple suggestions.”

Surrogacy has come as a boon for couples who want to extend their family but are unable to conceive due to some problems and issues. Shreyas also revealed that there were some issues that he and his wife were facing which led to the choice of surrogacy. Their doctor told them that it is teh best option for them. The actor maintains that it was the “best decision” of his life. The actor is on cloud nine with the birth of his darling daughter. He is right now on a short break as he was supposed to start shooting from May 15 but luckily for him the shoot got delayed to June and he got a month break to be his newborn daughter.
