Salman Khan’s upcoming film Race 3 was eyeing an Eid 2018 (June 15) release but might get delayed according to reports published in a leading daily. The final leg of shooting for the film was wrapped up in Leh and Ladakh since Salman was not allowed to travel abroad by the court since his conviction in the blackbuck poaching case. The actor has been sharing the film’s posters on social media but the film’s trailer has not been released yet.
The main reason behind the delay is said to be because the producers have not been able to get a distributor for the film. Reportedly distributors are shying away from acquiring the theatrical rights of the film as the producers have increased the price from what they had quoted earlier. The film is only 38 days from its release but the trailer is not out yet. The producers had sold the theatrical rights initially for Rs 130 crore but then later increased it to Rs 150 crore. This is probably the major reason why the filmmakers have not released the official trailer yet. However, no confirmation has been made from the producers’ end about the delay or the release of the film.
The Race film franchise is known for its style and a plotline ridden with twists-and-turns, and the third installment is also high on the glamour quotient. Reportedly, Salman Khan will be seen in 45 different custom-made tuxedos in the film. He will don the tux even during action sequences in the film. Salman is supposedly playing a stylish character in the film and his attire is integral to his role in the film.
