Deepika Padukone flashes her million dollar smile on the Cannes red carpet

Deepika Padukone first walked the Cannes red carpet in 2010 as a representative of Chivas Regal in a beautiful Rohit Bal saree. She later walked again in 2017 after becoming an international star with the release of her successful Hollywood film, XXX: The Return of Xander Cage. Making an impactful appearance that year in her Marchesa Notte creation, the actress clearly worked the same sartorial spell as she walked for Cannes red carpet this year.

Clad in a sheer white dress by Zuhair Murad, Deepika had tongues wagging as she made her way on the red carpet. A sight to sore eyes, Deepika styled her hair in beachy waves which were swept to the side and opted for minimalist makeup. She paired her look with jewellery from Lorraine Schwartz and Nicholas Kirkwood heels.

The actress earlier spoke up about her experience last year and said, “I haven’t stopped smiling since I came here, the energy is really high here. It’s just so good to be here, look at the platform and what it is (sic) cinema, how it brings people together from across the world – there couldn’t be a better time and place.”

Well here's to hoping for many more good memories to come! Deepika will be walking again tomorrow as L’Oreal Paris brand ambassador.

Meanwhile, other celebrities who will also attend the Cannes Film Festival are Kangana Ranaut, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the newlywed Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. While Kangana walked the red carpet today along with Deepika, Aishwarya will grace the red carpet with her presence on May 12 and May 13 accompanied by daughter Aaradhaya. Sonam will turn heads at the festival on May 14 and May 15.
