The trailer of one of the most anticipated movies, Parmanu- The Story of Pokhran was launched yesterday in the presence of the entire cast, crew and the producers of the film. Present at the trailer launch was leading man and producer John Abraham, Diana Penty, producers Ajay Kapoor of Kyta Productions, Sujay Kutty of Zee Studios and Abhishek Sharma the director of the film. The film is based on the true event of Pokhran Nuclear tests that were done on May 11, 1998, during the Atal Behari Vajpayee led-NDA government rule.
At the launch of the trailer, John thanked the entire cast and crew for standing with him through this journey and expressed special gratitude towards producer Ajay Kapoor. He said, “Mr. Rockman, Ajay Kapoor has really stood by me in the entire process right from the start." Ajay also showered praise on John and reiterated the fact that would always be with him. Ajay said, “'I was with John then, I am with him now and will always be with him. This film is very important for us, we want the audience to see it on May 25, in the same way, we will continue to produce more films."

The film is a tribute to the unsung heroes, the team of Army officers who go undercover as officials of the Archaeological Survey of India to ensure that the nuclear tests are conducted successfully. Parmanu- The Story of Pokhran is slated for a May 25, 2018, release.
