Arjun Kapoor already has the cast of Kapoor and Sons sequel in place, are the filmmakers listening?

The Alia Bhatt-Sidharth Malhotra-Fawad Khan starrer Kapoor and Sons (Since 1921) was a film that broke many stereotypes. From showing a young-at-heart and naughty grandfather to talking about homosexuality without the stereotypes attached to it, the film was a breath of fresh air. However, now it seems Arjun Kapoor has a novel idea for a sequel to the film. Although there is no dearth of sequels and film franchise in our Bollywood industry the makers of Kapoor and Sons have till now refrained from announcing any such project, but looks like Arjun has a clear cut idea on what the sequel can entail.

He shared an adorable photograph of his family on his social media and introduced them as the ideal cast for the sequel to the film. He shared a throwback picture of his father Boney Kapoor with his younger brothers – Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor from their young days and merged it with a picture of the next generation. He merged the old throwback picture with the recent pictures of the three real brothers with their sons namely- Anil with Harshvardhan Kapoor, Boney with Arjun and Sanjay with Jahaan Kapoor.

The photo soon went viral on social media as people had a good laugh at Arjun’s joke. There is scope of Anil and Harshvardhan doing a film together since both are actors but it will be a little difficult getting the other two pairs to share screen space, since Boney is a producer and Jahaan is too young to make his Bollywood debut. Nevertheless, it feels nice to see such a close-knit happy family with all the brothers and first cousins bonding together.

Sonam Kapoor's wedding even though it was glamorous and the actress looked like a million bucks, it was made special because of the close family ties that the Kapoor family exhibited with Arjun, Boney and Sanjay shouldering the responsibilities of ushering in the guests and looking after them. Even the sisters did their bit with Rhea Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Jahnvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor holding the fort and doing their bridesmaid duties effectively. After all, family ho toh aisi!
