Are Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt dating? Well, the couple did take a plunge with their apparent relationship, erm, sort of. The rumoured lovebirds arrived together and stayed together at the Sonam-Anand wedding reception. Moreover, they joined the league of Varun Dhawan and GF Natasha Dalal, as they appeared side by side before hundreds of pairs of curious eyes. Alia hit the final nail in the coffin by wasting no time in posting a picture from the gala event with her alleged lover on social media.
Prod her about her new 'hero' and she keeps you guessing every time - no denial, no acceptance. Her chemistry with her Brahmastra co-star has filled the grapevines with assumptions of their courtship, and while fans are dying to know if Bhatt and Kapoor are indeed together, the Raazi actress seems to be enjoying the attention it seems.
In an interview with a leading tabloid, Alia was asked about the speculations of her equation with Ranbir which only escalated after their sighting at Sonam's reception. She replied saying,
I’m happy that people are talking about my chemistry with Ranbir because we are doing a film together that comes out next year. (Laughs) And all these people who are talking about our chemistry better come and watch the film.
Mind you, this Shaandaar girl has been goofing around for a while now. Recently, when she appeared on popular talk show Aap Ki Adalat. During her conversation with India TV Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma, she was quizzed about her appearances with the Kapoor scion. However, all she would say is, “I don’t like to talk about my personal life in public. If there are rumours about me, then I shouldn’t get affected by them. If there is some truth in these speculations, then obviously they shouldn’t bother me. Neither I want to accept them, nor will I deny.”
The 25-year-old Alia also added, “However, if the reports are not true in any sense, obviously I’ll come out in public to clarify myself. But I will never accept rumours about my relationship status in public.”
Considering the two are working on a film by Karan Johar, their alleged link-up might just be a clever promotional gimmick. Nevertheless, you are putting many dil in mushkil, Ranbir.
