It is a well-known fact that Aamir Khan is a perfectionist and when it comes to his films he does not leave any stone unturned to ensure that it is a good film. His daughter Ira had helped during Dangal and was clicked during the promotions of the film. Now, his first born and elder son, Junaid, is all set to take the filmi route, no, not in front of the camera but behind the lens. He has turned apprentice to Aamir and we are sure that he will be getting the nitty-gritty’s of film making from his dad firsthand.

Junaid is Aamir’s eldest son from his first wife Rina Dutta. The six-feet-plus-20-something lad recently made his appearance at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding with Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao. Aamir told a source recently, “Junaid works with me.” Aamir is known to be a parent who gives freedom to his children to choose their own vocation. So seemingly, he hasn’t imposed any of his views on his children – Junaid and Ira.

Junaid has been assisting Rajkumar Hirani on a couple of his films and now has decided to become an apprentice to his actor-father. Working closely with his father we are sure he will get a full 360 degree holistic view of film making. Junaid’s working with the actor will also give Aamir some more time with his first born.

As far as the grapevine is true, Junaid does not seem to be heading towards acting but more towards direction. However, you can never tell as Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and a couple of others all started with assisting major directors and eventually found their way to acting. It remains to be seen whether Junaid follows his famous father’s footsteps or take on to other illustrious members of his family who were acclaimed directors and producers in the film industry.
