Lip-reading is everyone’s favourite sport being played these days. When defending champions Mumbai Indians failed to clear the league stage, a jubilant Preity Zinta didn’t bother to hide her glee. A video has gone viral, where she has been captured turning to a KXIP entourage member to say, “I am just very happy that Mumbai is not going to the finals … really happy.”
She took to Twitter to express her disappointment in her team’s loss but sportingly congratulated Chennai Super Kings, Sun Risers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders for making it to the playoffs. On behalf of her team, she vouched, “It’s always tough when you leave it till the last game. Next year we will come back stronger.”

Kings XI Punjab finished their IPL 2018 campaign at seventh position on the points table.
Earlier on Sunday, Mumbai Indians were knocked out after losing to Delhi Daredevils. A few hours later, her team was also defeated and out of the running. Preity’s happy celebration of Mumbai Indians’ loss is not going to win her any brownie points with the supporters of the Ambani-owned Mumbai Indians.

Earlier this month, Preity had also made news for allegedly getting into a heated argument with KXIP team mentor, Virender Sehwag after the team lost to Rajasthan Royals by 15 runs in Jaipur on May 8.
According to reports, Sehwag was severely pulled up by Zinta after the loss, forcing the former India opener to consider ending his association with the IPL team. Team KXIP tried to pour oil on troubled waters, claiming that the franchise reviews its performance "on and off the field after each game" through "formal and informal discussions." Guess that covers torrid face-offs as well!
