Milap Zaveri who announced his project Satyameva Jayate earlier this year with John Abraham has already completed the filming and is now ready to be sent for the post-production. Recently, they announced a dance number from the film featuring John and Nora Fatehi which is a recreation of the iconic 90’s song Dilbar, originally picturized on Sushmita Sen and Sanjay Kapoor in Sirf Tum. The song was an instant hit back in the day and the creators of Satyameva Jayate are hoping for the same response this time.

This recreation of Dilbar has an Arabic theme and will have Nora belly dancing to the number. The song was shot in the sets of Mumbai over the weekend. Nora who filmed for the dance sequence after 10 days of rehearsals expressing her nervousness and excitement she said, “Doing a remake of an iconic song is always nerve-racking because you never know if you can actually do justice to it. Sushmita Sen was iconic in the song and I hope I match up to her” She further added, “The take on the song is very unique and different. It’s going to be one of the most visually stunning songs, with amazing hypnotizing dance,”

An optimistic and excited John said, “When I heard the powerful script of Satyameva Jayate I knew that we had most of the ingredients that are required for an out and out commercial masaledaar film. With the addition of Dilbar, one of the catchiest songs of the 90’s and the way it has been stunningly picturized by Adil and Nora I am certain we have a winner.” However, the actor will not be seen dancing in the song.

The makers of the film seem to have no bounds of excitement for the song. Producer Nikkhil Advani believes the track to be “genre-defining”. Bhushan Kumar added, “Since a really long time I wanted to recreate this song with modern notes. The song appears in an important sequence of the film and the Arabic theme looks splendid.” A happy director, Zaveri too, complimented his creation. He said, “It was a rage back then when it released and our new version is also going to be a rage” They all believe that with a dash of sizzle and glamour this number will be terrific.

Satyameva Jayate also features debutant Aisha Sharma, Manoj Bajpayee and Amruta Khanvilkar and will is slated to release on 15th August 2018.
