Taapsee Pannu was that cherubic girl, who made her Bollywood debut with David Dhawan’s Chashme Baddoor in 2013. However, it was courtroom drama Pink with Amitabh Bachchan which was her ticket to infinite fame. 2017 only saw the rise and rise of Taapsee with five releases in a single year – Running Shaadi, The Ghazi Attack, Anando Brahma, Judwaa 2 and Naam Shabana. Come 2018 and the Baby actor returns with another courtroom drama, ready to take on a burning issue as she fights for Rishi Kapoor as his lawyer. Titled Mulk, the Anubhav Sinha directorial is all set to arrive in cinemas on July 27, 2018.

Rishi too on Monday tweeted the still from the film. He is seen standing in a courtroom, and Taapsee is sporting a lawyer's getup. "Courtroom drama 'Mulk' will get its theatrical release on July 27. A Benaras Media Works presentation,the film is directed by Anubhav Sinha, produced by Deepak Mukut and Anubhav Sinha. It is presented by Kamal Mukut," Rishi captioned the image.
Mulk is a social thriller based on real-life struggles of common people and in the words of Taapsee, it is the most relevant topic of current time. Shot in Varanasi and Lucknow, the movie also stars Prateik Babbar, Rajat Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Manoj Pahwa and Neena Gupta.

Notably, Taapsee has another film Soorma slated for a release on July 13, two weeks before Mulk hits the screens. In Soorm, she essays Harpreet Kaur, a hockey player and love interest of hockey star Sandeep Singh, played by Diljit Dosanjh. Besides these two, Taapsee is busy filming Manmarziyaan by Anurag Kashyap co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal. She was last seen in Dil Juunglee with Saqib Saleem. All in all, 2018 is one promising year for Taapsee.
