The Telugu remake of Prasthaanam will star Sanjay Dutt and will be produced under his own banner. This new venture of Sanju Baba will take off shooting on his mother's, Nargis's birthday.
Sanjay Dutt wishes this film to be a special one, setting new milestones and hence wishes it to be set on his late beloved Ma's birth date which is on 1st June. As Sanjay Dutt's biopic releases soon, we will see more into what made the man we know of today. But we are sure his relationship with his mother and her death have left a mark on him and shaped his being. Just before Sanjay Dutt's Bollywood debut, Rocky, Nargis had met her fate caused by cancer.
Sanjay Dutt quiet like his character in Munna Bhai is an emotional person. He showed great strength after his mother's death and did not shed a single tear. It was after 3 years when his father, Sunil Dutt handed him Nargis' voice tapes that Sanjay Dutt cried his heart out listening to his mother's voice.
Sanjay Dutt is one of the finest actors Bollywood has seen and he continues to make significant movies like Bhoomi and Munna Bhai. Prasthaanam is a story of the political backdrop and falls into the family drama genre. The movie also cast Ali Fazal and Amyra Dastur. The Telugu film was directed by Dev Katta who will also helm this project. Most of the movie will be shot in Lucknow, Punjab.

Prasthaanam, upon its release in Telugu, had created a lot of buzz and good box office collections. This we say is a good remake to reinstate the Sanjay Dutt productions after a 7-year long hiatus.
It is heartwarming to know how Sanjay Dutt reminisces his mother and finds a way to keep her close in memories on special beginnings. We hope his success in his future endeavours.
Sanjay Dutt's biopic portrayed skillfully by Ranbir Kapoor is set to release on 30th March 2018.
