Deepika Padukone's next to be a big budget superhero film like Wonder Woman?

Deepika Padukone reigned supreme in the first half of this year thanks to her magnum opus Padmaavat, post that she wowed everyone at Met Gala and Cannes Film Festival 2018 with her glamour, elegance and poise. However, there has not been much news on her forthcoming projects even though her Padmaavat co-stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh have gone ahead and signed on quite a few lucrative projects. Fortunately, now there is some hope for Deepika’s fans as some special inside information about her forthcoming projects are seeping in.

A source close to the actress informed a leading magazine that Deepika will soon be going Priyanka’s way and will be seen in a superhero film where she will be doing major action sequences, fights and stunts. The source said, “After going through several scripts, Deepika has finally locked one and this is a massive superhero film. Deepika will have various action scenes which fans haven’t seen her doing before. The untitled film will be produced by Fox Star and she’s quite excited about it already.” It is speculated that the film will be a big budget film and will be on the lines of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman which became the highest grossing film directed by a woman ever.

Now that superhero films like Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2 and even the Krrish franchise are doing roaring business in India it is high point that we get to see a woman superhero hold the fort, and Deepika will be perfect in that role, don’t you think so? After all, she has a great and toned body, is athletic with her badminton skill background, has killer looks and has terrific camera presence; we are sure she will make a class superhero. She also has some experience in action sequences after appearing in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. Deepika definitely does look like the Indian version of Wonder Woman and yes she will look awesome in a superhero suit.
