A couple of weeks back Angad Bedi and Neha Dhupia tied the knot in a hush-hush Anand Karaj wedding ceremony in presence of only very close friends and family. Their surprise move left everyone wondering whether there was more than what meets the eye and pregnancy rumours also started doing the rounds. However, Neha’s father and even Angad came forward to refute such baseless claims. But it was also revealed that Angad nad neha had been best of friends and he had proposed marriage previously as well but Neha had shot him down at that time.

In an interview given to a leading daily, Angad spoke at length about his equation with Neha, how he met her and the fact that she is a bigger and more popular and well-known star than him. He also revealed how the newlyweds first met and started dating. He said, “Everyone is curious to know how it all started? When I used to play Under-19 cricket in Delhi, during a gym session, I spotted this girl in really tiny shorts. I was impressed with her running technique. I figured out her name was Neha Dhupia and that she was preparing for the Miss India pageant. “

He added, “Then, many years later, we met in Mumbai and became friends. I was interested in her, but she said that she wanted to be just friends. We have both been in relationships with other people and there has never been a facade. When it comes to spending the rest of your life with someone, you should do it with a friend. It doesn't matter if that person is illiterate, educated or earns Rs 10 or Rs 10 crore. Eventually, these things don't matter.”

Now isn’t that sweet? It looks as if they were destined to be together only they were taking their own sweet time to realize the fact that they were the one for each other.
