Zafar and producer Atul Agnihotri had traveled to New York to meet Priyanka and gave her the narration of the film. The forthcoming period drama is an official adaptation of 2014 South Korean film Ode to My Father. It will feature Salman sporting five different looks spanning 60 years, wherein a crucial part will showcase the actor in his late 20s, looking much leaner and younger.

Location scouting for the movie took Zafar to near India - Pakistan border. The report in the daily further states that Bharat will go on floors in June, in Punjab. "The team plans to shoot a few portions of the film with Salman before PC joins them on the set," the source further informed the newspaper.

As of yet, Salman is gearing up for the release of his first and a third in the action thriller series - Race 3. Co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem, the movie arrives in cinemas on June 15, 2018.

Priyanka, meanwhile, is busy with her commitments in Hollywood. Besides the 35-year-old, Bharat shall also feature Disha Patani and Tabu in important roles. The film is slated to release on Eid 2019.
