Race 3 Selfish Song: Salman, Jacqueline and Bobby's romantic number gets its soul from Atif and Iulia's vocals

The makers of Race 3 after releasing a party number Heeriye have now released a romantic number Selfish featuring Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol and Daisy Shah. Salman makes his debut as a lyricist with this song which is sung by Atif Aslam and Iulia Vantur. Iulia marks her Bollywood singing debut with Selfish too. Salman’s lyrics get its soul from Atif’s mesmerizing voice and Iulia has also done a credible job with it, but the highlight is the visuals of the song.  Jacqueline romances both Salman and Bobby making us once again wonder whom is she actually paired with and who will she double cross?

The song has been composed by Vishal Mishra. Salman’s lyrics have a free-flowing quality to it and since the actor said that they were thoughts that he wrote in sync with the plot of the film it makes it one of the most important songs of the film. Salman’s lyrics for the song are easy to remember and will soon be on the lips of all his fans and comes a breather from all the remix and rap songs floating around which you love but just can’t sing along.

Salman had previously said in a statement, “While discussing the creative for the song, I penned down a few thoughts on paper in sync with the plot of the film, which is about the selfishness within the family. When the music director Vishal Mishra heard it, he got extremely excited and said he will come back with a tune for the same. I said, ‘But this is a part of a conversation and not lyrics.’ However, he insisted to use the thoughts as it is for the song. Everyone loved the thoughts and wanted it to be used for the song.”

The song’s highlight is the cracking chemistry between Salman and Jacqueline; they look comfortable and totally in sync with each other. Jacqueline looks ethereal in a turquoise blue dress and a red saree. The song’s visuals are breathtaking too as it is shot in snow clad mountains of Ladakh and the beautiful terrains are a treat to watch.
