Actor Bobby Deol's last release -- Poster Boys couldn't do a lot for him except announcing that he's ready to come back to the movies. The actor is now once again gearing up to take over the big screen. This time, in much more commercial and popularised -- Race 3, with Salman Khan.

At the trailer launch event of the film, the actor was seen shelving some details out on how he bagged this project. He credited Salman for giving him this massive film. And now, in an interview with Anupama Chopra, Bobby talked about the same in detail. He revealed how it was Salman who actually helped him when he needed work.

Bobby said, "I have never met someone like him (Salman) in my life, who's an outsider and yet he treats me like a family member. I remember I started playing CCL (Celebrity Cricket League) and I bumped into Salman. Not that I didn't know Salman from many years back but it's just that you don't meet people from the industry everyday. He said 'what have you done to yourself, why have you grown such a long beard?'

He added, "And then Salman said, 'Dekh jab mera career theek nahin jaa raha tha tab main tere bhai (Sunny Deol) ki peeth par chadh gaya, Sanjay Dutt ki peeth par chadh gaya. So I said then 'Mamu', I call him mamu, I said, 'Mamu, mujhe teri peeth pe chadhne de.' Give me work. And then I got a phone call from Salman one day. He said 'haan mamu, shirt utarega?' I said 'mamu, I'll do anything.'"

Well, seems like all the wait has resulted in good for Bobby Deol since Race 3 is one of the most anticipated films of the year. He, of course, has cut quite a striking picture in that perfectly chiseled body and all that swag in the promos of the film. Let's see if Bobby is able to recreate his magic on-screen as the film releases on June 15.
