The Sanjay Dutt biopic titled Sanju directed by Rajkumar Hirani has left everyone in high anticipation. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay and ever since the teaser released, everyone has been going gaga over the actor’s striking resemblance to Sanjay Dutt and the way he has completely stepped into his shoes perfecting his mannerisms. Rajkumar who is known for making detailed and nuanced films has tried to portray every aspect of Sanjay’s life keeping it as true as possible.
The film that encompasses Sanjay’s entire life journey includes his childhood as well and for that the director had to recreate the actor’s house where he lived with his parents Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt in Bandra as the house no longer exists. Hirani replicated Sanjay’s childhood home with the help of his sister Priya Dutt, who furnished photos and videos of their Bandra residence for the director’s benefit.

The film Sanju portrays Sanjay’s life right from childhood and hence his formative years were an integral part of the film and Hirani must have wanted to stick to the truth as far as possible. A source revealed, “Rajkumar sir wanted to portray Sanju’s life right from childhood. Hence, we started recreating the set-up for the house where he originally resided with his parents, Sunil and Nargis Dutt. It took us about 25 days and once it was ready, the cast and crew including the visitors on the sets were amazed to see an exact replica of the original house.”
Now, isn’t that something, instead of shooting scenes in any random house that bore a resemblance to the actor’s original home, Rajkumar actually went ahead to reproduce the house as it was. Now that is some detailing and thorough work, isn’t it? Sanju releases on June 29, 2018.
