Is it finally splitsville for Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia? We are afraid so. The 20-year-old marriage between the two popular supermodels of the fashion catwalk appears to be finally and irreversibly over. PeepingMoon.com sources say that the couple, who reportedly almost went in for a divorce in 2016, then apparently reconciled for the sake of their teenage daughters Mahikaa and Myra in 2017, are calling time on their marriage. And if friends of Arjun are to be believed, the actor who was last seen playing underworld don-turned-politician Arun Gawli in Ashim Ahluwalia’s political crime drama Daddy in September 2017, is all set to announce their imminent divorce on social media soon.

Rumours of the Rampals separating began making the rounds as early as in 2015 just after Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan announced their divorce in November 2014. At that time, it was widely thought that Arjun and Sussanne were in a relationship and Mehr wanted out of their marriage. However, the Rampals proved all rumours wrong by pointedly making public appearances at fashion shows and Bollywood parties where they sat side-by-side, smiled and chatted for cameras and appeared to be having a good time together. Although it was believed that they had separated already and were living apart.

Of late, there has been talk that Arjun was seeking counseling from a celebrity Mumbai psychiatrist but nobody could figure what troubles were driving the handsome former supermodel to seek professional help. Bollywood gossip also was that Arjun, who is now living separately from Mehr and their daughters, had begun dating the Serbian model, dancer and actress Natasa Stankovic who was seen in the item number Zindagi Meri Dance Dance of his film Daddy.

The Rampals, who married in 1998, used to scorch the ramp at fashion events in Mumbai and Delhi. At a time when Bollywood is celebrating a season of starry weddings, this news comes as a shock to many although close friends of the couple say it was only a matter of time.
