Varun Dhawan has become a chachu (uncle)! His elder brother Rohit Dhawan and wife Jaanvi Desai Dhawan became proud parents to a baby girl who was born today on May 31, 2018. Varun and his filmmaker father David Dhawan are super excited and elated by the news and can’t wait to bring the newest member of their family home. Reportedly a huge celebration is in order for the family to mark the happy occasion of the birth of the first grandchild in the family.
A few months back Varun had shared lovely pictures from his sister-in-law’s baby shower where Jaanvi looked radiant and glowing. Several celebrities attended the baby shower and happily posed for some photos with the mother-to-be.

So don’t be surprised if you see the Bollywood fraternity visiting the Dhawan household in the days to come once the baby is back from the hospital. In the meantime preparations are underway and the new grandmother Laali Dhawan and proud papa Rohit were snapped outside the hospital and so was uncle Varun.
On the professional front, Rohit had last directed Varun and John Abraham in the hit film Dishoom. Now he has signed up Hrithik Roshan and Disha Patani for his next. On the other hand Varun is a mighty busy actor. He is currently shooting for Karan Johar production Kalank, which has an ensemble cast starring Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Kunal Kemmu.
He will also be seen opposite Anushka Sharma in Sui Dhaaga – Made in India. Varun is touted as the next superstar of the Hindi film industry especially since most of his films and the last released October starring Binita Sandhu and directed by Shoojit Sircar did really well at the box office and got critical acclaim for Varun’s performance.
