Akshay joins hands with the government for a Road Safety campaign

Akshay Kumar tries to make the difference yet again! The actor is known to be proactive in his approach to make a considerable social change and that is seen, time and again, be it from his actions, ideas or the kind of movies he chooses. This time the actor has joined hands with Ministry of Road Transport & Highways(Morth), Government of India for a Road Safety Campaign.

Akshay tweeted a photo just this morning stating the alliance and his joy towards the same. He believes and sincerely hopes to bring about a change in the patterns of traffic and ensure proper road safety in order to save lives and avoid any mishaps.

The past is a witness to the fact that Akshay has never been the one to shy away from creating a stir for change and breaking taboos or stereotypes. With the support of his wife, actress and author, Twinkle Khanna, the invincible duo are seen engaging themselves in activities like helping the drought-ridden families of Maharashtra, setting up a martial arts school to provide free training to women, or be it developing a proper insurance scheme for all stunt artists in the industry. Apart from this, his social media is full of the actions that shows his efforts in favor of the poor and underprivileged; like his alliance with Niine Movement for the awareness for menstrual hygiene or that with the Swarn-Saathi to curb ill-habits like addiction to tobacco or smoking and the #NewIndiaConclave platform.

Needless to say, we need more people like Akshay to make the difference. It's right what they say, not all heroes wear capes!
