Ask Salman about his upcoming films and he shoots back, “No No Entry, no Wanted.” However, it is a big yes for Bharat, Dabangg 3, Sher Khan, Kick 2 and a dance film with Remo D’Souza. There’s also a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, “when he comes and narrates it!” he adds mischievously.

He informs that Bharat and Dabangg 3 will be shot simultaneously; “I’m going back to the old format,” he quips, wherein he will be juggling schedules of two different films. Both happen to be home productions, which obviously makes it a lot easier. Speaking about the Tiger franchise, he shares that they are working on the script, and then he naughtily adds, “It will be called Zoya Zinda Hai!” Bet that will leave Katrina Kaif beaming!

Ask whether he will be more experimental in his choice of films since he is in a position to do so, and he shoots back, “Experiment? I did Tubelight, a beautiful film and it did well also.” Clearly no fan of the whole experimentation shebang, he vouches, “I want to do something which I instantly like. If I hear a narration and say ‘Kal bataoonga,’ it means it is never happening! Even with Race 3, I said yes immediately; only there were one or two points that I wanted to be removed.”

He adds that he has been really lucky in the variety of films and stories that have come to him. And if they don’t, he’s prepared to “start writing myself!” He has also raised the bar for himself with Race 3, asking Remo to give him difficult dance moves! He shrugs, “It’s needed, to stay in the industry. Else it won’t be Kick 2, it will be kicked out!”

According to Salman’s mantra, it’s all “hand in glove”. As he tells it, “Till the time you can do action, you can romance. And till the time you can romance, you can do action. And when you can do both, you can dance as well!”

He’s certainly doing all three and looks set to do it for the next 25 years!
