Swara Bhasker and Sonam Kapoor are great pals. Despite their different backgrounds, they had hit it off famously during the filming of Raanjhanaa. Since then, they have worked together in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, and Veere Di Wedding. It was recently revealed that Sonam had even changed the date of her wedding to ensure it wouldn’t clash with that of Swara’s brother, and she would be able to attend all the festivities.
Now Swara reveals that her bestie would also make a wonderful director. Apparently, Sonam has frequently spoken about her desire to turn director and has even shared an idea with Swara. “Sonam is amazing,” gushes Swara. “She has told me about this and it’s a great script. I am sure Sonam will make a great director because she has some amazing ideas and a great vision.”

She reveals that she is looking forward to the day when Sonam does take the plunge into filmmaking. Swara also shares that Sonam is one of her favourite people in the world and she feels they share a great working relationship.
Recently, Swara also gave full credit for the success of Veere Di Wedding to where it’s due… “Ekta Kapoor deserves all the credit for the way the film has been marketed. Rhea and Ekta have done a tremendous job of making this kind of film. Ekta made sure that the film was promoted correctly, and Rhea was responsible for everything to do with the look of the film and the costumes, which are being widely appreciated. It is actually Rhea’s baby,” she had vouched.
Swara was in the news again for handling trolls who are criticising her masturbation scene in Veere… A Twitter user had commented on a troll’s post saying, “For some weird reasons, people who can’t spell “Masturbation” are going to watch Veere Di Wedding with their grandmothers and want answers from @ReallySwara." Swara, who appeared pleased by this comment, responded to it saying, "@Joydas you bring so much joy to my Twitter timeline. I wish paid trolls would at the very least re-arrange the sentences and run a spell check before their paid tweet attacks #PaidTrollsKiPolKhulGayi #SakshiSlays."
