Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie is once again in the news. After making headlines with his controversial dig at Ekta Kapoor’s show Kasamh Se which made the latter issue a scathing remark on her Twitter, he is back with a video on his YouTube channel with the title, "She is angry because I made fun of her." In a move which might or might not be intentional, he spells her name wrong and writes, “Etika Kapoor here and I hate PewDiePie."
In the video, PewDiePie directly addresses Ekta and defends his stance by saying that he has had "nothing to do with" Ekta in particular. He says in the video, “Don't know who you are. What do you want from me?" He also added that very few people are on Ekta’s side and defending her. He ended the video with a disclaimer that read, “Don't be like Ekta Kapoor and go on a Twitter rant when it is completely unrelated to you as well."

PewDiePie is a Swedish YouTuber who has millions of YouTube subscribers and does video game commentary. He topped Forbes’ list of highest-paid YouTube stars in 2016. He had commented on Ekta’s serial Kasamh Se last month which went viral. He had simply shared a still from the serial and captioned it as, “(Good Quality)” which was ironical as the said still was hugely pixilated. He was not commenting on the serial just on the picture quality. However, Ekta took it differently and issued a rant against him on Twitter. She had called him a ‘firangi’ who they hire as junior artists from Colaba. Her comment had come under a lot of flak from her viewers but Ekta had refused to apologize for her comments.
