BJP Chief, Amit Shah, as a part of his party's Sampark for Samarthan campaign, recently visited Madhuri Dixit Nene and her husband Sriram Madhav at their Mumbai residence along with Maharashtra's CM, Devendra Fadnavis.
The BJP chief, who is making rounds and contacting at least 50 people as a part of the 'contact for support programme,' already visited eminent names such as business tycoon Ratan Tata, cricket legend Kapil Dev, former Chief Justice of India, R C Lahoti, yoga guru, Ramdev, former Army Chief, Dalbir Singh Suhag among others.
Shah has been carrying booklets containing details of the various promises fulfilled by the Modi government during these visits.

The politician, who was also scheduled to meet singing sensation, Lata Mangeshkar had to reschedule his meet as the singer was down with food poisoning. Mangeshkar tweeted in Hindi that she had spoken to Shah over telephone and expressed her inability to meet him since she had suffered food poisoning. She also requested that they can meet during his next visit to Mumbai.
Lataji took to Twitter to express her grief. She said, "Aaj BJP ki adhyaksha mananeey @AmitShah ji se meri mulaqaat honewali thi parantu mujhe food poisoning hone ki wajah se maine unse telephone pe baat karke milne mein asamarthta vyakt ki aur agli baar jab bhi wo Mumbai aayenge tab unse milne ka nivedan kiya."

The 'Sampark for Samarthan' campaign envisions 4,000 BJP functionaries, including chief ministers, union ministers and panchayat leaders from all over the country contacting one lakh people who have made achievements in their fields to tell them about the government's achievements.
