Bobby Deol has got a new lease of life in his Bollywood career after appearing in Race 3. The actor who was out of the scene for some time was roped in by Salman Khan for his production and holds a pivotal role in the third instalment of the popular Race film franchise. In a promotional interview for the film the Soldier actor opened up about the low phase in his career, on Salman’s question of whether Bobby will take off his shirt and what makes Salman very similar to Bobby’s father Dharmendra.
Bobby heaped praise on his co-star and producer Salman. He said, “Salman is like an angel for me. He has gone out of his way to do things for me, in fact, not only for me but for so many others as well. That is why people love him so much. He is so much like my father Dharmendra in this respect. That is why they get along so well. My dad has always treated Salman like a third son.” Bobby also reiterated the fact that one should not let negativity breed in life. One should get motivated to do better and to not let negativity bring you down.

Bobby also opened up the rock bottom that he had hit in his career. He spoke about the low phase that he was going through where he lost the zeal and positivity to work. However, Salman helped him back as he kept trying to work something out for him but nothing materialized. This prompted Bobby to finally start working out and take care of himself so that if work came calling he should be ready for it and not lose out on another opportunity.
Bobby also said that he would love to do a sequel to his film Soldier which is also one of his favourite films. He revealed that this whole “Mamu, shirt utarega?” question was actually started by producer Ramesh Taurani who was also the producer of Soldier. Apparently, Taurani wanted Bobby to take off his shirt in the film but the latter was skeptical and hence opted out for a sleeveless T-shirt rather than baring his torso. However, he finally acquiesced to Salman and Taurani in Race 3.
