Looks like there won't be a kindling romance between Salman Khan and Disha Patani in Bharat. When we came to know that our Bollywood hottie, Disha Patani has joined the cast in the Salman-Priyanka starrer, our expectations hit the ceiling by simply thinking about her romantic angle with Salman. But a source close to the film bashed these rumours and said that she's actually playing the role of his sister!

The details of Disha's role in the film earlier were unspecified, which led to the rumour that she will be playing Salman’s second love interest in it. But, a source close to the film put an end to these speculations and made her role in the movie crystal clear.

Salman Khan is teaming up with his Tiger Zinda Hai director Ali Abbas Zafar for his next film, Bharat. The movie also marks the reunion of Salman and Priyanka Chopra for a film after a very long time. In fact, this will be the actress’ first Bollywood movie post-Jai Gangaajal in 2016.

The movie is based on the Korean film, Ode To My Father which is the story of a man who desperately longs to reunite with his father and sister during wartime in Northern Korea.

Disha was last seen in Baaghi 2 with her rumored beau, Tiger Shroff. In Bharat, she will play the role of a trapeze artist in a circus, a character which is essential to the storyline. It is learned that Disha’s portion will be set in the 1960s.

Naturally, she is looking forward to prepping for this unique role, which will see her play opposite the reigning box office king, Salman Khan. “I’m excited to be a part of Bharat, it’s like a dream come true to get an opportunity to work with Salman sir and I can’t wait for the journey to begin. I am a big fan of Ali Abbas sir’s work,” she raved.
