In what could probably be the best news from the movie world today, there's second part of Ek Villain on the go. The 2010 Bollywood film was loved by many and that's precisely why producer Ekta Kapoor seems to have decided to make the film a franchise and the work on the second film has already begun.
As reported by a leading daily, the producer has asked his team of writers to start thinking of a new script for Ek Villain 2. In fact, while she is keen to change the entire cast of the film, Sidharth Malhotra is expected to be there in the second film as well. The report quoted a source close to Balaji Telefilms saying, "Work on Ek Villain 2 has just kicked off. The premise of the original is great for a potential franchise."

Ekta is still basking in the success of her last produced film, Veere Di Wedding, featuring Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania in the lead. Apart from various interesting projects on TV, the filmmaker has also got a good line-up of films she is backing. She is working with the four important directors of the time, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Imtiaz Ali, Alankrita Shrivastava and Shree Narayan Singh. The report also suggests that her fifth project in the row is going to be Ek Villain 2.
Featuring Riteish Deshmukh, Shraddha Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra and Aamna Sharif in leading roles, Ek Villain was directed by Mohit Suri. The music of the film was an instant hit and also helped the film to do well at the Box Office.
