Co-stars and besties, Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhasker do have their areas of disagreement as well… Namely in their choice of leading men! Sonam has revealed that they have their squabbles over just who is better – Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan. The newlywed shares, “I am a huge Salman fan whereas Swara is crazy about SRK. So we keep having these little fights between us.”
Sonam and Salman had first shared screen space together in her debut film Saawariya, in which she was paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor. She has also starred opposite her fave in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. At that time she had gushed, “I have been a huge fan of Salman Khan for a long time. I was a bit nervous... It was intimidating for me to be on the sets but I was excited as well.”

Sonam had met her idol when she was just 14 when her dad Anil Kapoor and Salman were working together on a film. “I was never allowed on a film set but for this movie, I requested my dad to take me there. Salman sat with me for an hour and I think I would have traumatized him!” she had shared.
Declaring that she liked Salman in romantic films, she maintained that she felt he “is amazing at romance”. Salman has been equally encouraging of Sonam. During a press interaction when Sonam was compared to Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai, he had said, “I think she is as beautiful and equally talented... Perhaps more.”
Coming to Swara, she has made her adoration of SRK pretty obvious. Who can forget her boomerang video with him at an awards’ after-party, which she had captioned, “The teeth say it all!!!!!! always an @iamsrk #fangirl #allaboutthatnight #thecharmedlife.” In an earlier interview, Swara had said, “I wanted to be like Shah Rukh Khan and not a Bollywood heroine. I thought I would become a popular actor like him. An actor can become a star, but to retain that position like SRK, Salman (Khan) or Aamir (Khan) for 25 years is difficult.”
…And so these BFFs will fiercely defend their heroes!
