The teaser of the Aayush Sharma-Warina Hussain love story has dropped and it’s full of colour and joy, like expected. Garba beats, and dandiya moves take over whether in Gujarat or London, as the new pair match smiles and steps. Salman Khan introduces the film in his own voice, revealing that Loveratri is a story of love, adding, “Pyaar kiya nahin jaata, bas ho jaata hai.” Sure to put a lilt in your step, this one!

A Salman Khan Films production, the film is described thus… “Two hearts will meet and a beautiful journey will unfold, amidst the joy of festival and the celebration of love…” Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the teaser introduces the film as a quintessential love story, with all the necessary ingredients of a Bollywood romance. The sparks fly between Aayush and Warina, who meet while dancing during Navratri. The flavour of Gujarat is very much in evidence, with the typical, irresistible musical beats, the lights, laughter and heady dancing that are the hallmark of the festival.

A remixed version of the Suhaag hit number, ‘Hey Naam Rey…’ can be heard in the background, as the lead pair discover romances. Garba goes places as the young lovers match steps at a range of locations, whether at a colourful dandiya event in Gujarat, or against the London bridge, at a college campus or even on the streets.

Salman’s narration in the teaser adds an essential sprinkle of depth to the proceedings. Clearly, besides producing the film for his sister Arpita’s husband’s launch, he is doing everything within his power to ensure it grabs eyeballs. He is also rumoured to play an interesting cameo in the film along with brother Arbaaz Khan.

The film releases this Navratri. Time to brush up on the steps!
