Is Arjun the reason why Salman put Boney Kapoor’s films on the backburner?

With Race 3 released today and promotions over and done with, Salman Khan will soon get into shooting for his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s production, Bharat. Along with this Ali Abbas Zafar directorial, he will simultaneously shoot for Dabangg 3, directed by his brother Arbaaz Khan. The star had recently joked about how he was returning to the old way of doing things, juggling multiple films at a time. However, Bhai, as he is called by family and friends, will not extend the same benefits to certain outside producers…

Boney Kapoor, whose Wanted 2 and No Entry Mein Entry have been awaiting his dates, will have to simmer on the backburner. Even after he completes Bharat and Dabangg 3, Salman will have no time for Boney’s films. It will most likely be brother Sohail Khan's next directorial venture, Sher Khan, which he will pick up next.

The megastar recently clarified, “There is no Wanted or No Entry sequel happening. I'm doing Bharat, Dabangg 3 and Sher Khan. I want to do something that I instantly like. I take up films only if they excite me immediately.”

This does lead one to wonder why he is being so uncharacteristically stingy when it comes to giving dates to Boney. Do the scripts actually not excite him? Or is he simply still peeved by the fact that Boney’s son Arjun was allegedly romantically involved with his brother Arbaaz Khan’s then-wife, Malaika Arora? Salman is said to be still nursing a grudge against Arjun for this liaison and refuses to even acknowledge him. Quizzed about failing to bag Salman’s dates, Boney Kapoor countered, “You have already heard it from Salman, so you should go with his word. I don't want to comment on this further.”

While Salman is making time for Kick 2, a dance film with Remo D’Souza and another with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, it naturally raises eyebrows!
