Akshay Kumar's latest film, GOLD, which is set to release this Independence day is all about patriotism and has promised to take us back in time by making us feel what Indians felt during the British reign.

As Salman Khan starrer Race 3 released today and lakhs of fans flocked the theaters to see their 'Bhai', they were greeted with a rather different kind of welcome. The makers of Gold felt that they should make today's generation feel what the pre-Independence Indians felt by making them stand for the National Anthem, only with a twist of the National Anthem being the British Anthem instead of the Indian Anthem. With this, Gold has kick-started their film's marketing campaign in an unusual way, making us eager for the trailer.

Reportedly, the Gold special teaser was shown in Dubai last night with Salman’s Race 3 and the audiences liked it so much that they gave the teaser a rousing standing ovation.

Based on the first gold Olympic medal that India won on August 12, 1948 in London, Gold stars Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy in the lead roles and will release on August 15, 2018.
